Marshall the Honorary Grand Rank of Senior Deacon with his jewel and Certificate. Also a very fitting occasion to receive from RWM Brother John Russell the Travelling Gavel with an extended invitation to all Lodges in the Province to collect it at a Lodge Carron No.139 meeting.

Bro. Charlie Macvicar Almoner/Std.B. and Bro. Ian Thomson SB of Lodge Carron No.139 visited Lodge St. Kenneth No.1441, at the Installation of RWM Bro Leslie Thomas Dow and Office Bearers. We were warmly welcomed into the Lodge by RWM, PM’s and Officebearers and Brethren, also visiting was the WSPGM Bro Ian William Cockburn. The Installing Masters were Bro Colin David PM (Lodge Balgonie No. 764), Bro. Paul Batchelor PM (Lodge of Kirkcaldy No. 72) and Bro Jason Watson PM (Lodge St. Clair of Dysarthria No. 520) RWM Bro Leslie Dow was a very proud man who also congratulated his new office Bearers and thanked all who attended the Installation and invited all to remain behind for the Festive Board.The hospitality was excellent, I was given the honour of replying for the Visitors. I also presented RWM Bro Leslie Dow with a small gift from RWM,PM’s, Office Bearers and Brethren of Lodge Carron No.139, (The stone by David Stevenson) and wish all at St. Kenneth No.1441 every success in the future.

On Monday 2nd September 2019 I was delighted, privileged and indeed honoured to lead a fine deputation from Lodge Carron No.139 into Lodge Callendar No.588 for the first meeting of the new season. We were very warmly and well received by RWM Brother Barry Hamilton and all Brethren. We then all witnessed a flawless Entered Apprentice Degree on one candidate. To make the evening slightly more special from a personal perspective was the candidate being my stepson Kyle who was thoroughly impressed by the whole evening and has asked me to pass on his sincere thanks to Barry and everyone who made him feel so welcome. I was given the honour of delivering the Mode of Preparation lecture and it was extra special that Kyle’s cousin, WSW Calum McArdle was word perfect delivering the secrets and Apron. There was a very proud grandfather sitting in the columns and I am sure Kyle’s uncle, the late PM Bro. Robert Mason was smiling in the Grand Lodge Above. A great evening and thanks to everyone, especially those from my Mother Lodge, for making this a special night for our family.
