On Saturday 17th December 2022 RWM Brother George Mawhinnie, Brother Charlie Macvicar DM/ Almoner and Brother Allan Baxter SD Lodge Carron No.139, visited Lodge Abercromby No.581 for the Annual Installation of Master Elect Brother William McDonald Wilson and his Officebearers at the Masonic Temple, Bridge of Allan. All visitors and Brethren were warmly welcomed into the Temple by the retiring RWM Brother Richard McConnell with a deputation from the PGL of Stirlingshire headed on this occasion by RWPGM Brother Gordon WS Sewell. The three Installing Masters completed an outstanding installation for the Master Elect Brother William McDonald Wilson. He thanked his Installing Masters and congratulated the new Officebearers for taking up their new posts, also the Brethren of Lodge Abercromby No. 531 for the privilege and honour bestowed on him as RWM No.531. RWPGM Brother Gordon Sewell was the first to congratulate the new RWM and his Officebearers for the coming year 2022/2023, also congratulating the Installing Masters. At the close of the meeting were invited to join in the festival of St. John but I couldn’t stay due to family commitments. We at Lodge Carron No.139 wish RWM No.531 and his Brethren well for the future and a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2023. DM/Almoner No.139

 On Friday 9th December 2022 Lodge Carron No.139 held its Annual Installation of Master Elect Brother George Mawhinnie and his Officebearers The retiring RWM Brother Jim MacAulay welcomed all visiting Brethren from within and outwith the Province of Stirlingshire into the Temple. A large deputation from PGL of Stirlingshire headed by WSPGM Brother Reg Weston. A large deputation of Installing Masters  headed by Brother Leonard McComb WSPGM. PM No.484 HM. 139, 312, 362, 391, 793, 1712, Brother Stuart Stirling WPGMD PM No.139, HM 362 391 484, Brother Gordon Sewell RWPGM PM No.598, HM 312 & 1303 The Installing Masters carried out the Installation in an excellent manner and to a very high standard. RWM Brother George Mawhinnie congratulated the Installing team for their hard work and to the Officebearers he wished them all a successful term in office. To the Brethren of Lodge Carron No.139 he thanked them for electing him as RWM. On a personal note thankyou RWM Brother George Mawhinnie for appointing me as your DM for the coming term 2022/2023, I am so honoured and privileged and in a big way so proud to represent Lodge Carron No.139 as Almoner also. The hospitality,the food was excellent with a big thankyou to the Mawhinnie family, Chefs: Elaine (Wife) Donna Mawhinnie (Daughter) and not forgetting the helper’s Erin, Kirsty (Daughter) Leeann. On Monday 5th December 2022 Lodge Carron No.139 Brethren were in numbers to support our own Brother Tam Meikle PM on taking part for the first time as RWIM on his nephew at the Installation of RWM Elect Brother Calum James McArdle and Officebearers of Lodge Callendar No.588. Brethren present for Lodge Carron No.139 were RWM Brother Jim MacAulay, WSW Brother George Mawhinnie, IPM Brother Stuart Stirling (PGL  WPGMD) Secretary Brother Kenneth Maclennan, Almoner Brother Charlie Macvicar, JD Brother Allan Baxter, BB Brother Dougie Thomson, Bard Brother Colin Fullarton, SB Brother Ian Thomson, IG Brother Gary Maclachlan, SS Brother Arn Fullarton, Brother Walter Richardson  PM, Brother David Duncan. A warm welcome was extended in the Temple by the outgoing RWM. A Deputation from the PGL of  Stirlingshire was headed on this occasion by RWPGM Brother Gordon Sewell. The Installing Masters installed RWM elect Brother Calum James McArdle to a very high standard of ritual. LODGE ST.GEORGE No.333 

On Saturday 23rd April 2022 WSW Brother George Mawhinnie accompanied by Brother Charlie Macvicer Almoner & JD Brother Allan Baxter Lodge Carron No.139 visited Lodge St. George, Glasgow No.333 for their Annual Installation in The Freemason’s Hall, Knightswood. RWM Elect Brother Peter Stewart (PM) PM’s, Officebearers & Brethren extended a warm welcome into their Mother Lodge. The installing Masters completed an outstanding Installation. We would like to thank RWM No.333 Brother Peter Stewart for the excellent 4 course meal, the ladies did an excellent purvey off the best steak pie that I have had in along time. The Toasts were excellent and the hospitality outstanding, we wish all at Lodge St.George, Glasgow No. 333 best wishes for 2022/2023. Photos by kind permission.​
